Anna Kalinskaya vs Maja Chwalińska: Prediction and Betting Tips – June 3, 2026
On June 3, the Roland Garros quarterfinal will feature a clash between Anna Kalinskaya and Maja Chwalińska. Here is my prediction for this event.
Anna Kalinskaya
In the tennis world, Kalinskaya is known as a solid athlete who often lacks consistency. Previously, the Russian was better known as Jannik Sinner’s fiancée, but the couple has split, and now the focus is on her sporting achievements. Although this season can hardly be called a success, she has climbed nine places in the rankings and is currently ranked 24th.
At Roland Garros, Kalinskaya started with a confident win over Frenchwoman Boisson – 6:2, 6:2, then advanced past fellow Russian Korneyeva – 7:6, 6:4. In the third round, she overcame Colombia’s Osorio Serrano – 6:3, 0:6, 6:2. Her toughest match was the last one against Anastasia Potapova, now representing Austria – 6:4, 2:6, 7:6.
Maja Chwalińska
The Polish tennis player has become one of the main revelations of the French major—few expected that someone ranked outside the top 100 would reach the quarterfinals. Chwalińska began her journey in qualifying, confidently defeating the Frenchwomen Rame – 6:0, 6:3 and Monnet – 6:0, 6:1, and in the final round overcame the tough Lammens from the Netherlands – 7:6, 7:5.
In the main draw, the Pole started with a win over the once-dangerous Chinese player Zheng – 6:4, 6:0, and by the same score beat experienced Belgian Mertens. In the third round, Chwalińska defeated Greece’s Maria Sakkari – 1:6, 6:3, 6:2. Her latest victory was over Frenchwoman Parry – 6:3, 6:2. Although Chwalińska is currently ranked only 114th, her live ranking has already put her in the top 50, and she could climb even higher with another win.
Prediction
If these players had met in the earlier rounds, Kalinskaya would have been the clear favorite, but given their current form and journey, bookmakers are reluctant to favor either. The two have never played each other before, and the winner will face the victor of the Sabalenka vs. Shnaider match in the semifinals. I believe psychology will be key—a win in the first set could make the match much easier. In other words, I’ll take a risk and bet on under 2.5 sets at odds of 1.6.
