The 19-year-old guy was hacking user accounts on a bookmaker's website
The 19-year-old guy admitted to hacking a bookmaker's website by brute-forcing user credentials.
After gaining access to users' accounts, Joseph Harrison and his accomplices would link a new payment method in the personal account, depositing $5 for verification, and then withdrawing all funds deposited into the user's balance through it.
According to court records, approximately $600,000 was stolen by the culprits from around 1600 accounts.
Joseph faces a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison.
