Las Vegas Grand Prix set a record for the number of bets placed on racing tournaments
The debut Las Vegas Grand Prix in Formula 1 set a record for the number of bets placed on racing tournaments.
Representatives of two betting giants in the US reported this. Bookmakers noted that usually, bets on auto racing attract a niche audience of bettors, but in the case of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, there was significant interest among a broader group of players.
Recall that the race took place last Sunday at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. The drivers completed 50 laps covering a total distance of 310.1 km. The race was won by Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen, who had already secured the championship earlier. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished second, and Verstappen's teammate, Sergio Perez from Mexico, finished third.
Next weekend will see the race in Abu Dhabi, which will be the last in the 2023 season.
