Inter Miami has announced a record revenue in the club's history

American club Inter Miami, competing in the MLS, announced record revenues in its history. This was disclosed by the club's commercial director, Xavier Asensi, in an interview with SportBusiness.

According to the executive, the signing of Argentine Lionel Messi, who joined the American team this summer, contributed significantly to this achievement. Asensi noted that the club's revenue for the 2023 season amounted to $120 million. In comparison, the club earned only $50 million in the previous season. It is expected that the club's revenue could exceed $200 million in the next season.

Reportedly, achieving this goal depends on ticket sales: the price for season tickets ranges from $800 to $2700. The cost of VIP season tickets ranges from $4.4 thousand to $45.9 thousand.

Additionally, 90% of season ticket holders have renewed their subscriptions for the 2024 season, marking a record in the club's relatively short history.

As per Messi's contract with Inter Miami, he earns $50-60 million per season. According to MLSPA data, his annual base salary amounts to $12 million. Furthermore, marketing bonuses and agent fees bring him an additional $8 million. The remaining portion comprises an unspecified bonus and a share in the franchise.

Messi became a part of Inter Miami in the summer of 2023. During this time, the legendary footballer played 14 matches, scoring 11 goals and making 5 assists. It's worth noting that his team failed to qualify for the playoffs this year.
