In Ukraine, they plan to turn lotteries into casinos

The controversial bill No. 10101 provides for a competition to issue betting and casino licenses to state lotteries. It will cost only 19.8 million hryvnia per year.

For comparison, CRAIL-licensed companies now pay 120 million a year for the opportunity to conduct bookmaking activities and another 30 million for online casinos. Another 40 million will have to be paid for every five slot machine halls.

Thus, if the bill is adopted, a similar list of permits will cost lotteries 10 times less.

Today, only two national lotteries operate in Ukraine.
