In the USA, a high-speed train will be launched between Las Vegas and California for the Olympics
High-speed train project Brightline West, connecting Las Vegas and Southern California, has secured $3 billion in financing to commence construction. The total cost of the project is estimated to be no less than $12 billion.
Senator Jackie Rosen commented, 'This is a historic project that will bring more tourists to our state, create thousands of well-paying jobs, and reduce carbon emissions, all with the support of local unions.'
Brightline West states that this project will be America's first true high-speed rail system, where trains will travel at speeds exceeding 320 km/h, cutting the travel time from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to just 2 hours and 15 minutes.
According to the company, the project will have an economic impact of over $1 billion on California and Nevada. The opening is planned for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
