English Championship. Favorites to Promote to the Premier League

The football season in Europe is in full swing, and while clubs are on a break due to national team matches, the RatingBet decided to figure out who the favorites are in the lower divisions of English football.

Now it's time for the second-tier division in English football, the Championship. After 16 rounds, Leicester and Ipswich are leading the league table. 'The Foxes' have started the season so confidently that doubting their return to the top flight is unnecessary. However, in recent matches, the team has slightly weakened, losing twice in a row. Following them in the table are Leeds and Southampton, who were relegated from the Premier League last season. Preston, Sunderland, West Bromwich, and Hull are next in line.

Bookmakers highlight three main favorites for winning the tournament — Leicester (odds 1.57), Ipswich (4.5), and Leeds (5). Among the main favorites for promotion at the end of the season, we note Leicester (1.1), Leeds and Ipswich (both 1.61), as well as Southampton (2.5), Middlesbrough (6.5), West Bromwich (8), and Sunderland (11). It's worth noting that the top two teams move up a division, while places 3 to 6 compete for another spot in the Premier League.
