Then come two more Norwegians, Johannes' older brother Tarjei Boe and Vetle Sjastad Christiansen.

The list of main contenders for victory looks like this:

  • S. Samuelsson - 2.5
  • J.T. Boe - 2.76
  • T. Boe - 16
  • V.S. Christiansen - 19
  • F. Navrath - 25
  • J. Dale - 26
  • M. Ponsiluoma and V. Soerum - 34
  • Q. Fillon Maillet, B. Doll, E. Jacquelin, and E. Stromsheim - 41
  • F. Claude, S.H. Laegreid, and T. Jacomel - 50
  • J. Kühn - 65
  • R. Rees - 80

It's worth noting that the athletes will cover a distance of 10 kilometers with two shooting ranges. The top 60 biathletes will proceed to the pursuit race scheduled for Saturday.
