American players are circumventing the law to place bets on the 2024 elections
U.S. authorities are concerned that gambling activities may contribute to corruption or gamification of the political system.
Bettors have admitted to successfully circumventing the law and have long been placing bets on U.S. presidential elections.
"We placed hundreds of thousands of dollars on the proposition that Trump would not be a contender for the Republican Party's presidential elections. It was a really reasonable bet, but a year ago. Now it's foolish because Trump has legal processes, and we have no doubts that he will run. We've already incurred losses," - said one of the bettors.
